A Chinese archaistic bronze fitting, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or later, fashioned as a disk with a raised and pierced rim and a hole to the centre, with an inscriotion in seal script surrounding the hole. The inscription is believed to be two poems, one by Huang Shan Kue and Li Yang bin (active Tang Dynasty). 1.5 cm high, 22 cm diameter.

A Chinese limestone inscribed two-part epitaph, Tang Dynasty, Wu Zetian period (690-705), the two parts carved as square plaques, one with chamfered edges, both with lengthy inscriptions describing the life of a government official's wife. A pair of Chinese huanghuali spindle-back 'Meigui-Yi' chairs, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), circa 17TH/18th century, of gently tapered form, with spindle inset arms and backs, the arch-shaped aprons with fine beading along the edge, and with square-section legs. The seats have been later modified to remove the previous woven cane seats and replaced with hardwood panels. 90.5 cm high, 54 cm wide, 45 cm deep. Provenance: purchased by the vendor in Hong Kong in the 1990s.
