A pair of Chinese heirloom 'Kosometsuke' square dishes, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), Tianqi period (1620-1627), each dish decorated in underglaze blue with two scholars in a garden landscape, the rim with a repeating cloud design. Together with a fitted Japanese wooden box. Each approximately 2 cm high, 9.75 cm wide. Provenance: old Japanese collection.
