A fine quality George II ebonised 'bell top' bracket clock signed Henry Fish / Royal Exchange / London, mid 18th century, with a double fusee verge escapement, pull repeat on six bells and hour strike on one bell, a finely engraved back plate and mounts, the silvered chapter ring and subsidiaries for silent/strike, seconds, mock pendulum aperture and calendar, on a stippled brass ground with applied arabesque spandrels, the case with glazed sides and an ogee moulded pediment rising to a brass handle, 44.5 cm high
