A Chinese parcel-gilt figure of a guardian, late Ming, 16/17th century, Dressed in armour and standing on a naturalistic carved wood 'Rockwork' base in flowing ribbons, a small Buddha at the front of his Crown, holding a flask in the left hand, his right hand in karana mudra.
