A fine Sri Lankan .925 silver box, Sri Lanka, Kandy, early 20th century, the jewellery box of rectangular bombe form with rounded, scalloped ends, the hinged and domed lid repousse and chased with Kandyan vegetal and floral scrollwork framed by beaded and geometric borders, the underside engraved with scrolling motifs around a central flower motif, unmarked. X-ray tested .925 silver. Weight 398g height 6 cm, length 20 cm, width 10 cm
