A stylish contemporary Ravissant silver five piece tea and coffee service, the four piece set designed by a leading Dutch silversmith Jan Van Nouhuys, the tray by Paul Binder. CIRCA 1980/1990, the service includes: coffee pot, tea pot, sugar, cream and tray. The off-centered round tapered bodies morphing to square tops, each raised on a square foot. With green hardstone handles and hinged lid finials, possibly jade. Impressed marker's, designers and 925 silver marks to each. The tray with silver 925 and maker's marks with the designer's mark PB for Paul Binder of Zurich Paul Binder was renowned as the finest Swiss gold and silversmith of his generation. Known for breakthrough contemporary styling. Jan Van Nouhuys is noted as the most prominent of contemporary Dutch silversmiths, who succeeded in elevating the silversmithing craft to an autonomous art form.
