An early Islamic glazed ceramic vase, Egypt, circa 13th century, decorated in underglaze black and blue with doves amongst scrolling foliage, 20 cm high, 17 cm diameter. Provenance: Ex: S. Kovar collection, collected in the 1930's, Ex: East Australian Trading, sale no. AA201508, date: 10 Aug 2015 lot 178. Other Notes: this piece is accompanied by a thermoluminescence test certificate from the University of Wollongong, NSW, Australia, stating its age to be approximately 700 years BP.
