A Chinese Cizhou-type white-ware lobed jar, Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), of melon form with vertical ribs, covered in a creamy glaze. Soil remnants adhereing within and around the foot. Together with a later fitted hardwood lid, and an old collection card. 11.5 cm high, 15.5 cm diameter. Together with lid 15 cm high.
