A rare Chinese Xingyao white-ware dish, Tang Dynasty (618-907), the small dish of rare shallow form, with a very finely finished 'Bi foot', glazed within the foot-rim, the whole covered in a creamy white glaze showing a pale ivory colour where it pools. Together with a fitted cloth-covered box. 3 cm high, 14 cm diameter.
