A 'Desco' US Navy World War II diving helmet the manufacturer's riveted plaque reading 'Mark V Mod 1' and 'Diving equipment and Salvage Co. Inc. Milwaukee. Wis.' then the serial number 'No. 943 date 3 3 44'. This dates the helmet to one year after the USA entered World War II. The helmet bears the mark of the US Navy inventory on the screw collar, meaning probable wartime useage. The helmet has a 12 bolt collar. 52 x 37 x 40 cm
