A pocket 'Salter' parcel Tube spring balance, complete with metal case, the balance will weigh items up to 30 lbs, markings include the Salter logo and 'GPO / made in England' and half pound graduations. Gilt finish and in virtually unused condition. The case has a note confirming it was used by the Postman between 2 July 1906 and 30 October 1915. The cap to the case is stamped with an arrow & GPO.
