Two vintage oak handled mountaineering ice picks both stamped for Oscar Coberger, Arthurs Pass (one blade chipped) Oscar Coberger arrived in New Zealand from Germany in 1926 and began as a guide and ski instructor at the Hermitage. He set up the Swiss Alpine sports Depot, Arthurs Pass selling imported skiing equipment. He died in 1982. His grand-daughter, Annelise Coberger became New Zealand's first ever Olympic skiing medallist.

Miniature souvenir Lifebuoy from R.M.S. Niagara with painted frame and central photo of the ship, 13 cm diam. Built by John Brown & Co, Scotland and launched in 1912 the ship made 162 round trips between New Zealand, Australia and Canada. On June 19th 1940 whilst carrying 590 gold bars from South Africa it struck a German mine in the Hauraki Gulf. The ship however was instrumental in spreading the Spanish flu to New Zealand carrying infected passengers from Vancouver via Hawaii, Fiji, New Zealand & Sydney.
