A good large and fine carving of The Last Supper, the figures in an architectural setting, traditionally portraying the reaction given by each of the 12 apostles when Jesus said one of them would betray him. After the painting by Leonardo da Vinci c.1495 to 1498, some delay in its creation was apparently due to Leonardo's struggling to find the perfect villainous face for Judas. 200 x 100 x 6 cm.

A highly decorative 18th/19th century French ormolu chandelier, sixteen scrolling light branches in the form of leaves, the candle sconces as the flowers, conforming leaves and flowers entwine the central column. 90 x 120 cm. Reputedly from the historic Chateau de Chambray in Normandy, before it's gifting to the French state in 1940.
