An impressive pair of 19th century colonial silver mounted emu egg epergnes, the egg sits in an unadorned silver mount with a slender column culminating in the round pedestal base with three flat feet, the top mount with some decorative engraving has another slender column leading up to a heavily engraved disc, a wheel cut frilled glass trumpet sits in each disc, a silver shield attached to the front of each egg, height 35 cm.
