1930's Shipwrights sea chest and tools from the Pamir a four masted barque bult in German 1905, she was purpose designed and built for the Chilean & Cape Horn nitrate trade. The chest was the property of Alan Rogerson. Alan Rogerson joined the Pamir as Deck boy for voyage 10, New Zealand- UK-Europe-New Zealand, during which he was promoted to Ordinary Seaman (OS), when the Pamir was given to G. The Badge (ship's plaque) of the Battleship HMS Duke of York. The battleship HMS 'Duke of York' spent some time in Sydney shortly after the end of World War II.
