George Griffiths (1825-1890), Australian timber picture frame (with mirror), cedar, pine, blackwood and others, 19th century. Captain Griffiths rose to notoriety in July 1877 when the crew onboard his vessel 'The Onward' mutinied. He restored order by locking them in the forecastle and shooting one of them dead.
