An old Maori carved wood and stone hafted adze, the mildly tapered shaft carved with a stylised horned Maori figure, the other side with a sinuous serpent, the grip with lineal carved detail, the stone toki (adze blade) of Duff type 3A, well lashed with woven fibre, spiral carved detail to the pointed haft end.
