A good Tokyo school tagayasan wood and ivory netsuke of Hotei attributed to Suzuki Tôkoku [Bairyû] (1845-1913), standing and laughing with hands raised above his tilted head, wearing beaded bracelets and necklace of various materials, a green-stained nyoi sceptre tuck into his sash. Signed on a red lacquer tablet. Height 3.9 cm.
