Herbert Ponting, (1870-1935): 'Weddell Seal (Diving Off the Ice. Cape Evans, March 15, 1911)', silver gelatin photograph (44 x 60 cm), the photographer's blindstamp 'H.G. Ponting' at lower right, titled and numbered '35' on the fine Art Society labels on the backing board and on plywood back of original frame. Ponting was the first official photographer to be sent to the Antarctic. He joined Scott's Expedition in 1910 and sailed on the 'Terra Nova' on June 15th.

Metal case with 'Zorro' name on dial, leather band has simulated tooled design in silver. This design very susceptible to wear even on unused examples but on this watch it remains nearly 100% complete.
