Jeff Oestreich, soda fired stoneware tea cup, impressed mark, height 11 cm, jeff Oestreich was born in 1947 in St Paul, Minnesota. As a result of his training in England at the Leach Pottery his early pieces were heavily influenced by the austere simplicity of Asian pottery. Although this tradition still underpins his work, particularly in relation to simplicity of form, the pieces in this catalogue have strong visual ties to Art Deco architecture.
