A large and impressive Royal Doulton Lambeth vase by Florence Barlow (act. 1873 - 1909) and Frank Butler (act. 1872 - 1911), tall ovoid shape with trumpet mouth and spreading foot, the body decorated by Barlow in pate-sur-pate with sparrows perched upon the branches of a fruiting plum tree. The neck, lower body and foot decoratively sculpted and glazed by Butler with foliate designs. Incised artists' marks and impressed factory marks under the base. Dated 1883. Repair to foot.
