Mabel Madeline Hookey, Australia (1871-1953), the field of Rokeby oil on board 28 x 45 cm Exhibited Society of Women Painters, Royal Art Society Galleries Sydney, 1912. Provenance: This painting was at Rokeby house, Rokeby, Hobart TAS, which was the family home of the artist. It was built by George Stokell in 1830, who was Mabel Hookey’s grandfather. Painting has been handed down through the family since then.
