A magnificent and rare Tiffany & Co. Art Deco 14ct. yellow gold, emerald and diamond lady's powder compact, fine reeded outer borders, the front lid section mounted with six baguette cut diamonds and six round facet cut diamonds in an Art Deco design, the interior lid with a bevel edged mirror. In original dark blue pigskin leather fitted case with gilt trim, embossed maker's names to the compact and outer leather case. Provenance: Ex. the collection of Baron Oscar von Kohorn, a successful middle European businessman who established factories for the development of rayon, first in Germany then Japan, South America and the United States. The compact then gifted to Baron Oscar's son Baron Ralph von Kohorn who gifted it to his wife Jill von Kohorn, then gifted to her close friend, our vendor.
