A Napoleon III ormolu bronze figural clock, circa 1880s, with maker's mark for Japy Freres, case marked Godin Desnus a Paris, the Louis XVI inspired clock having an enamel dial with Roman numerals surmounted by a finely cast reclining female figure emblematic of Summer bearing a wheat sheaf and harvest scythes, upon a shaped base with decorative borders and pierced vegetal scrolls; with key and pendulum.
