English hallmarked sterling silver Victorian travelling Communion set consisting of a gilt wash pierced stem chalice, collet footed paten & a crystal cut wine ewer, set in a velvet lined box. Engraved to the box 'Presented to the Rev. J. W. Town from the Teachers and scholars of St. Philips Sunday school as a small token of grateful affection Manchester Sept 27th 1853'. Sheffield, 1852, maker Henry Wilkinson & Co. Condition good to fair, small chips to the crystal, general wear to the box. Dimensions of box 11.5 x 9.5 x 6.2 cm. Weight 104g
