Paris Porcelain boat shaped inkwell modelled as a young man leisurely steering a boat painted with butterflies & having a lion figurehead. The removable gilt metal bow having two hinged compartments & finely engraved with various insects, all mounted on a gilded metal wave form base, after a Meissen model. Condition: good to fair, damage to the mast. Length 17 cm
