A rare pair of Korean hexagonal iron tobacco boxes, inlaid with silver wire, Chosun dynasty, mid 19th century, a central Chinese character of long life on the lid with each of the six sides with a hare, a tortoise & crane within a lined panel., notes: a single example in the University of Michigan Museum of Art, USA., rectangular- shaped example in the British Museum acquired by the Trustees in 1905.
