Description:
A Chinese 'Doucai' 'Anbaxian' ogee dish, Qianlong mark, probably 19th century or later, interior centre painted with a full-faced flower head encircled by four peaches and stylized lotus blossom scrolls, the Eight Daosit Emblems, 'anbaxian' tied to flower sprays with fluttering ribbons decorated on the rounded flaring cavetto, the exterior with exotic blooms on foliate scrolls above a band of 'ruyi' head, six-character seal mark in undergalze blue on the base, fitted box, 20.3 cm diameter. Provenance: Old Melbourne private collection. Purchased from T.Y.King, Hong Kong, 1950s (original receipt)
