A cased Samuel & Charles Smith double barrel percussion sporting gun for 'Imperial' caps, 29 3/8-inch barrel, browned decoratively twist patterned, engraved to the rib: 'Saml & C. Smith, Princes Street, Leicester Square, London', the breeches with Imperial nipples and engraved 'Smith's Patent' to a platinum-lined rectangle at the centre. The signed lock plates, trigger guard and butt plate engraved en suite with acanthus scrolls; half-stock with chequered grip an inlaid silver crested cartouche forward of the grip, brass tipped ramrod. In lined and fitted mahogany case with some accessories including shot- and powder-flasks, two-piece rod with cleaning tips.
