A 'famille-rose' 'dragon' vase mark of Guangxu, the globular body rising to a tall slightly waisted neck, painted on the sides with a frieze of dragons among clouds pursuing a flaming pearl, repeated around the neck above a frieze of flowering plants and narrow border of iron-red ribboned emblems on the shoulders, all between raised horizontal gilt bands, the mouth with a yellow-ground ruyi -head border and band of waves above the foot, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character mark flanked by two dragons, 39.5 cm high
