A carved jade figure of a deer Ming dynasty, retaining the shape of the original pebble, the recumbent animal supported on scrolling clouds, its head turned over its back holding a trailing branch of lingzhi in its mouth, carved in pierced and high relief from the pale greyish stone with areas of darker suffusions, 7.5 cm long.
