A three volume set of leather bound albums, each with gold embossed title 'Sun Pictures of New South Wales' together with the Australian Coat of Arms and a rising sun vignette, numbered parts 1 - 3. Each album contains a printed index page listing the 30 photographs contained therein. Volume I consists of images of streets, places of interest and public buildings in Sydney and around the Harbour, Part II covers New South Wales country and coastal scenery, particularly the Blue Mountains and the Hawkesbury River, Part III comprises images around Sydney Harbour and the Botanic Gardens. Images are 13.5 x 19 cm approx. Total of 90 images, all titled in the plate and bearing the initials J.P. of the photographer, John Paine [1834 - 1915]. Full list of works available.
