Armstrong -Siddeley sapphire saloon Chassis no.: C341771 engine no.: E341741 Rego no.:ANM-328, expires 21/01/2007. Armstrong-Siddeley came into being through the merger of Armstrong-Whitworth's car making division with Siddeley-Deasy of Coventry in 1919, they were renowned for building solid cars of high quality, although the later products were generally too expensively priced when compared to Jaguar, their main rivals. In production from 1953 to 1959 with a total of 7207 cars being built, this traditionally appointed saloon, with 3435cc straight six OHV herni-head engine was capable of 100mph when fitted with the optional twin-carburettor arrangement
