A Chinese camphor wood altar table from Fujian Province. Qing Dynasty, later 19th century. The long narrow table of typical form with seven drawers to the skirt each with relief carved panels with courtly and peasant figures in garden pavilion and landscape settings, and dragon and phoenix motifs, similarly decorated pedestal cupboards to each end with shelving, fretwork to the base.
