A large antique 'Mother of God - Hodegetria' icon. Possibly 17th century. In tempera colours upon a prepared timber panel with battens, depicting the Virgin gesturing to the reciprocating Christ child seated on her left knee and gazing at his mother in the Northern Greek manner, a saint in a small panel to the upper right corner, with church Slavonic inscriptions in Cyrillic. Height 45 cm. Width 39 cm
