A Royal Crown Derby Imari covered baluster vase 1927/1928, old Imari Japan pattern 1128. The gently lobed and waisted vase with a domed lid and gilded petal form finial, decorated with reserved borders of alternating patterns and flowers above striking shaped petals enclosing further floral motifs, the lid conforming; backstamps and date cyphers to base and lid, with decorator's mark. Height 24.5 cm
