English hallmarked sterling silver topped Victorian claret jug decorated with raised Bacchus face panels surrounded by grapes with a figurehead spout, having a hinged lid with a finial modelled as a revelling gent, the bulbous glass body etched with repeating starburst motifs, all on a collet foot base. London, 1862, maker John Wilmin Figg. Condition: good, general wear consistent with age, minor tarnishing. Height 37 cm
