Description:
A German World War II early police helmet (M34) Double Decal constructed in sheet steel, thiscivic M34 'square dip' style helmet retains about 70% of its original black satin finish paint. The helmet has two separate groups of seven 'salt & pepper' ventilation holes positioned on each side of the crown. All four of the flat headed liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has a M31 civic style, light tan leather liner with ventilation perforations to the front forehead section. Early Police Helmet fantastic national tricolour tilted to accommodate the ventilation holes' large swastika right side of the helmet. Provenance. Provenance: Peter Nathan Militaria. Other Notes: This style of decal dates from the 1933-1934 period when Goering was in charge of the German police before the night of the long knives and the removal of Ernst Rohm. These helmets after this period were often issued to local police and Axillaries to the German army in the captured territories
