A pair of old and impressive Chinese brass fan form processional pole standards, of ceremonial significance having being used in celebrations, engraved detail of historical figures, animals and objects amongst clouds, a cast dragon's head to the top and bat support to the base with fitting to receive the pole, engraved character marks detailing that this pair were made in the eleventh year of the emperor Guangxu 1885, further engraving 'winter morning of 1885, Tianjieyuan'.
