17th century Scandinavian peg tankard the circular hinged lid, having a profusely chased floral sprays, with a single scrolled handled fitted to one side with a cornelian thumb piece and a lion surmount, leading to a deep cylindrical body, resting on three talon and ball feet, old restoration to one foot.
