Twelve fine Mongolian miniature thangka paintings on cloth, 19th century, [12], depicting, Buddha, Bodhisattvas, Padmasambhava & wrathful deities, miniature thangka paintings are used for personal spiritual practices when travelling. They are often kept in a bronze or wood Gua, a type of locket that houses the painting. It is then worn around the neck for devotional practices & protection when travelling.
