An elegant oval Continental silver cake basket, circa 1900, German, the boat shaped basket with a lobed scrolling rim, with a striking embossed honeycomb design throughout, well finished cut out handles at each end, centred with applied knotted initials to the plain bowl; a German inscription underside dated 1905, silver weight 415g. Height 8.5 cm. Length 30 cm. Width 21.5 cm.
