A fine Georgian sterling silver and timber ladle, 1744/5 London, with maker's mark for William Gwillam & Peter Castle, the pear shaped bowl embossed and finely chased with rocaille decoration enclosed by a border scene of fruits, a bird and a house, the tapering conical stem attached to a blonde turned timber handle; hallmarked to the bowl, total weight 76gr, length 32.5 cm.
