A Stuart Devlin sterling silver/gilt 'Polly Parrot' centrepiece, London, 1979 with maker's mark in cartouche, fashioned as a finely crafted perching bird upon atop a slender trumpet form to a silver banded conical walnut base, with ten conjoined freeform open weave shaped blades with ball finials to the stem; hallmarked to the lower stem and silver band; this design was used as a trophy for the 'Polly Parrot Challenge'.
