A vintage model of a horn and ivory canoe, early 1960s, Madras (Chennai), India, the long slender dugout canoe with an upswept rear section, populated with nine tiny oarsmen and a sternman, and decorated with flowers and scalloped ribbons in ivory, raised on small horn trestle bases; presented to the head of Avery scales in Madras during the early 1960s who was a member of the Royal Madras yacht club. Height 20 cm. Length 55 cm.
