Twelve glazed 'museum cases', containing a collection of named native New Zealand shell specimens, along with a box of horse mussel shells. Collected by author Glenys Stace over 40 years. This is a scientific research collection mainly on an ACCESS relational database, an internationally recognised academic format. All items with provenance. Housed mainly in glass topped boxes which are in themselves of historical interest as they were made by Dr A.W.B. Powell of Auckland Museum to house the Museum's collection and were sold when the collection was rehoused in 1993.
