A glazed white biscuit brushpot, mark of Wang Bingrong, of cylindrical form the sides decorated in relief with a gathering of eight scholars on the rocky shores of a lake, surrounded by their books, scrolls and wine jars, one painting a scroll, the recessed base with an impressed seal Wang Bingrong zuo within the broad unglazed footrim, 15.5 cm high.
