A fine George III neoclassical sterling silver soup tureen, 1802 London, with maker's mark for Digby Scott & Benjamin Smith, a superbly elegant thread edged tureen of pedestal urn form with fluted and leaf form bracket handles, gadroon decorated to the lower body and to the dome lid with ball finial, bearing an armorial for the Phipps family, 'Rest Through Valour', hallmarked to the foot.
