A Japanese Arita Ware vase and bowl, probably Meiji to Taisho periods, late 19th to early 20th century, the slender ovoid vase with a tubular neck decorated throughout with an underglaze flower and leaf decoration; and a small oval bowl with a lobed spiral motif to the body decorated with various patterns and framing a panel decorated with birds in a pine tree below a star and lattice border; eight character mark underside.
