A Chinese Inkstone in a fitted stone box, probably Republic era, early 20th century, the rectangular inkstone in a fine red marbled soft stone, with a small well and a reservoir for ink and decorated with a finely carved peach, enclosed within a stone box in ochre colours embellished in low relief with a crane riding on the back of a tortoise. Length 11.5 cm. Width 9 cm
